Aaron Judge (neck) could return for Yankees on Tuesday
New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge (neck) could play in Tuesday's intrasquad game, per manager Aaron Boone.
Boone said he's hopeful Judge will be able to return after missing workouts on Saturday or Sunday due to neck stiffness. It's unrelated to the injury that forced Judge to miss spring training. He's still expected to be fine for Opening Day on July 23 against the Washington Nationals. Judge slashed .272/.381/.540 with 27 homers, 55 RBI, and 75 runs scored across 447 plate appearances last season. He hasn't recorded an OPS above .921 either of the last two years after posting a 1.049 OPS in his first full season in the majors. Judge turned 28 in April.
numberFire's models expect Judge to bat .272 with a .908 OPS this season while tallying 13 homers, 32 RBI, and 37 runs scored over 219 plate appearances.
