Phillies' Mikie Mahtook has coronavirus
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Mikie Mahtook tested positive for the coronavirus, Phillies general manager Matt Klentak confirmed.
The Phillies signed Mahtook to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training back in December. He was limited to 67 games in 2018 and just nine appearances last year. Now 30, Mahtook is unlikely to make much noise for the Phillies this season if he does wind up making the final roster.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Phillies are tied for having the 10th-best odds (+2500) to win the 2020 World Series.
