David Peralta (illness) passes test, joins Diamondbacks
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder David Peralta tested negative for COVID-19.
Peralta was absent for the first weekend of workouts due to an illness, but it apparently wasn't related to COVID-19. He's good to go now. After hitting .293 each of the previous two seasons, Peralta's average fell to .275 last season in an injury-capped campaign. His OPS also dropped to .804 from .868 in 2018, but a clean bill of health should allow Peralta to return to form. He turns 33 in August.
numberFire's models project Peralta to bat .277 with 7 homers, 27 RBI, and 25 runs scored in 204 plate appearances this season.
