Red Sox officially sign outfielder Kevin Pillar to one-year deal
The Boston Red Sox have agreed to a one-year contract with outfielder Kevin Pillar.
What It Means:
Pillar will join the Red Sox after logging 156 games with the Giants. Expect Pillar to be used as a defensive replacement or in a potential outfield platoon.
In 611 at-bats last season, Pillar produced a .259 average with 21 home runs and 88 RBI.
