Howie Kendrick sitting for Nationals on Monday's opener
Washington Nationals infielder Howie Kendrick is not starting in Monday's series opener against right-hander Dakota Hudson and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Kendrick is taking a seat after going 3-for-4 with a solo homer, 3 RBI, and 2 runs scored on Sunday in a shutout win over the Atlanta Braves.
