Nick Solak making MLB debut for Rangers in first half of Tuesday's doubleheader
The Texas Rangers purchased the contract of infielder/outfielder Nick Solak from Triple-A Nashville.
Solak took the roster spot of Nomar Mazara (oblique). He's in the designated hitter spot and batting sixth for his MLB debut in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against left-hander Andrew Heaney and the Los Angeles Angels. Hunter Pence is in right field.
Solak slashed .289/.362/.532 with 27 homers, 74 RBI, 5 steals, and 79 scores over 114 games in Triple-A this season.
