Angels' Andrelton Simmons (ankle) resuming rehab assignment
Los Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons (ankle) is resuming his minor league rehab assignment Tuesday with Class A Inland Empire.
What It Means:
Simmons is feeling better after suffering a setback with his ankle last week. The 29-year-old hasn't played for the Angels since May 20.
Simmons was slashing .298/.323/.415 with 3 homers, 13 doubles, 21 RBI, 22 runs scored, and 5 steals across 195 plate appearances this season before the injury.
