Red Sox consider Rafael Devers (hamstring) day-to-day
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers (hamstring) is considered day-to-day, per manager Alex Cora.
Devers was removed from the fifth inning of Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Twins with right hamstring tightness. "Most likely we’ll stay away from him on Friday," Cora said afterward. "He’ll get treatment [on Thursday]." The Red Sox are hopeful that a couple days off will be enough to get Devers back out there.
The 22-year-old third baseman is batting .307 with a .863 OPS while recording 12 home runs, 47 RBI, 54 runs scored, and 8 steals over 323 plate appearances (74 games) this season.
