Andrew Benintendi scratched Sunday for Boston, Marco Hernandez enters lineup
The Boston Red Sox scratched outfielder Andrew Benintendi from Sunday's series finale versus left-hander John Means and the Baltimore Orioles.
It's not clear why Benintendi was scratched. Marco Hernandez is now starting at second base and batting ninth while Eduardo Nunez is at designated hitter out of the eight-hole. Christian Vazquez has hopped up to second in the order.
Benintendi is batting .266/.352/.429 with 7 home runs, 15 doubles, 32 RBI, 36 runs scored, and 7 steals through 300 plate appearances this season.
