Daniel Murphy moving to Rockies' bench Wednesday
Colorado Rockies first baseman Daniel Murphy is not starting in Wednesday afternoon's series finale versus left-hander Cole Hamels and the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday.
Murphy went 5-for-8 with a pair of doubles, 2 RBI, and a run scored in the first two games of this series, but he's grabbing a seat on the bench for Wednesday's matinee. Mark Reynolds is manning first base for Colorado instead.
numberFire's models expect Murphy to record 9 homers, 33 RBI, and 29 runs scored over the rest of the season.
