Astros' Yordan Alvarez making MLB debut Sunday
The Houston Astros purchased the contract of 1B/OF Yordan Alvarez from Triple-A Round Rock.
Alvarez is starting in the designated hitter spot and batting fifth on Sunday afternoon in his major league debut versus right-hander Dylan Bundy and the Baltimore Orioles. Michael Brantley is out of Sunday's lineup.
The 21-year-old top prospect slashed a sizzling .343/.443/.742 with 23 homers, 71 RBI, 50 runs scored, and 2 steals in 56 games for Round Rock this season.
