Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Francisco Cervelli was forced to leave Tuesday's game against the Colorado Rockies after suffering an upper chest contusion.

What It Means:

Cervelli was replaced in the sixth inning after suffering a chest injury. Look an update on his status after a re-evaluation tomorrow. If Cervelli is out for an extended period of time, expect Elias Diaz to play everyday.

In 108 at-bats this season, Cervelli is hitting .185 with one home run and five RBI.
