Yandy Diaz scratched Tuesday for Rays, Ji-Man Choi now on first
Tampa Bay Rays infielder/designated hitter Yandy Diaz has been scratched from Tuesday's starting lineup against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Diaz is likely still recovering from the left hand contusion he suffered on Sunday when he was hit by a pitch. Ji-Man Choi is starting at first base Tuesday and hitting third while Austin Meadows is now in the leadoff spot. There was also some shuffling at the bottom of the order, with Brandon Lowe now batting sixth, followed by Daniel Robertson. Willy Adames is in the nine-hole.
Diaz is batting .256/.339/.500 with 9 homers, 9 doubles, 22 RBI, 26 runs scored, and a steal through 180 plate appearances.
