Aaron Altherr starting for Phillies in Thursday's opener
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Aaron Altherr is starting in Thursday's series opener versus left-hander Caleb Smith and the Miami Marlins.
What It Means:
Altherr is replacing Roman Quinn (groin) in center field and batting eighth. He could be looking at more starts in the near future if Quinn is forced to make another trip to the injured list.
Altherr is 1-for-24 (.042) this season.
