Trea Turner lands on Nationals' injured list with fractured index finger
The Washington Nationals placed shortstop Trea Turner on the 10-day injured list with a non-displaced fracture of his right index finger.
Turner suffered the injury on Tuesday night. He doesn't have a timetable to return, but it's likely going to be a multi-week absence. Wilmer Difo will be the primary fill-in at shortstop for now. The Nationals called up Adrian Sanchez from Triple-A Fresno in a corresponding roster move.
Turner is 5-for-14 with 2 home runs, a double, 4 RBI, 4 runs scored, and 4 steals through four games.
