Francisco Lindor (calf) aiming to play for Indians on Opening Day
Cleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor (right calf strain) is hoping to play on Opening Day against the Minnesota Twins.
Lindor ran at nearly full speed in a minor league game Wednesday, Indians manager Terry Francona said, but it remains to be seen if he will be cleared for Opening Day. "I feel good," Lindor said. "I'm in a program and protocol and following it. I believe in the trainers. They are doing an outstanding job and when they say it's good to go, I'll be good to go." The 25-year-old shortstop sustained the strain in early February.
numberFire's models expect Lindor to bat .284 with 31 home runs, 91 RBI, 110 runs scored, and 22 steals in 2019.
