Domingo Santana grand slam carries Mariners past Athletics in Japan
Seattle Mariners outfielder Domingo Santana went 1-for-5 with a grand slam on Wednesday in a 9-7 victory over the Oakland Athletics in Japan.
Santana also struck out twice, but he made his lone hit count to give the Mariners a 5-2 lead in the top of the third inning. The 26-year-old was acquired in December from the Milwaukee Brewers. He is just a season removed from slashing .278/.371/.505 with 30 taters, 85 RBI, and 15 steals. These two clubs will square off again bright and early on Thursday morning in Japan.
Santana scored 29.2 FanDuel points in the win. numberFire's models expect him to bat .239 with 17 home runs, 64 RBI, 66 runs scored, and 4 steals across 565 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
