Jay Bruce, OF, New York Mets

FanDuel Price: $3,800

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Jay Bruce and the Mets are projected for a modest 4.2 runs tonight, which is just the 14th-most on the slate. With several appealing outfield plays from the Coors game, as well as the red-hot Max Kepler in play, it seems unlikely Bruce will be highly owned.

Why You Should Use Him:

Bruce closed out July with a bang, hitting six homers in five games. He went 0-4 in his first game with the Mets last night, but he gets a chance to bounce back in tonight's lefty-righty matchup against Chad Green at Yankee Stadium.

Green has a 4.56 ERA on the year, but he has been much worse since moving from the bullpen. He's given up 14 runs and 7 home runs in 14 1/3 innings as a starter this season.

Bruce has absolutely crushed right-handed pitching in his career and should be able to use Yankee Stadium's dimensions to his advantage tonight. He's a viable play in any format.
