Shields is sporting a career-worst 5.05 SIERA on the year with only a 16.1% strikeout rate. He has allowed a .353 wOBA with a 4.96 xFIP against right-handed hitters, and that puts Justin Upton in a good spot.

Upton has a .269/.338/.459 slash with a .346 wOBA and .190 ISO against right-handed pitching over his career, and while this season has seen his production fall, he has been excellent since the All-Star break.
