Yasmani Grandal's season may look ugly on the surface, but a deeper look reveals some numbers that make him a really appealing daily fantasy value.

He's only slashing .183/.301/.371 on the year, but that is coming on a BABIP that sits at an unsustainably low .197 (compared to his career average of .270), despite a 34.6 percent hard-hit rate that is just above his career average. He is also sporting a career-high .188 isolated slugging.

A switch-hitter, Grandal has done his best work against right-handed pitching over his career, with a .230/.342/.410 slash, and he's against a struggling righty tonight in Andrew Cashner.

Cashner is sporting the highest SIERA of his career at 4.89 this season, while his 16.0 percent strikeout rate is on pace to be a career-low.
