Coming into this season, it was a consensus that Zack Greinke couldn’t sustain his 1.66 ERA. Even though his 3.61 ERA this year looks like a major regression, his xFIP indicates that he’s not pitching that much worse than a year ago -- 3.77 in 2016 versus 3.22 in 2015.

Aside from his last start at Coors Field, where it is nearly impossible for any pitcher to escape unscathed, Greinke threw seven-plus innings in four straight games. If we’re paying more than $10,000 for a pitcher on FanDuel, we need them to go deep into the game.

Against the Phillies at home tonight, who are 28th in the league versus right-handed pitching with a .290 wOBA, Greinke has an excellent matchup.

As a -205 favorite, he has an excellent chance to pick up that important 12-point win bonus on FanDuel.
