Manny Machado, SS, Baltimore Orioles

An elite producer, Manny Machado is on the DFS radar on a nightly basis. Hitting in the middle of one of the game’s best lineups makes him even more attractive, but he’s nearly a must-have when he’s facing a left-handed pitcher, which is the case tonight.

Machado and the Orioles will square off against Boston Red Sox pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez, who has gotten off to a rough start this year. Rodriguez has only pitched 16 1/3 innings because of an injury suffered earlier this year, but he has put up some hard-to-look-at numbers -- 6.27 SIERA, 10.0% strikeout rate and 10.0% walk rate -- in that small sample.

Machado is straight up raking, building off his 2015 breakout and continuing his ascent. Machado owns a .401 wOBA with a sparkling .295 ISO, both of which are career-high numbers. He’s even better against southpaws, roughing up lefties to the tune of a .427 wOBA this season.

The game taking place at Fenway Park -- the second-best hitters’ environment in baseball, per ESPN’s Park Factors -- is just the cherry on top. Baltimore’s implied total of 4.58 runs is the second-highest mark on the main slate.
