Kendrys Morales is another player who probably hasn't been hitting as poorly as his production might indicate, and like Grandal, his BABIP is well below his career average (at .233) while his hard-hit rate is above his career average (at 34.9 percent). This all indicates that the struggles shouldn't last.

Morales has done his best work against righties over his career with a .345 wOBA and .202 ISO, and he has a good matchup today against righty Josh Tomlin. Tomlin is sporting a 4.21 SIERA with a 16.3 percent strikeout rate on the year, both his worst marks since 2012. Tomlin also has a 4.18 xFIP against lefties over his career, giving Morales another bump at the dish.
