Alfredo Simon is having one of the worst seasons of his career with an 8.94 ERA and 4.97 SIERA through 11 games. This is following up an ugly 2015 season, when he posted a 4.88 SIERA. He's allowing a .408 wOBA with a 6.56 xFIP against right-handed hitters this season and had a 4.50 xFIP against them in 2015.

Randal Grichuk is a righty that sports reverse platoon splits, doing his best work against right-handed pitching. Even though his production hasn't been great this season, he owns a .207 ISO against right handed pitching. Through his young career, he has a .258/.317/.499 slash with a .346 wOBA and .240 ISO against righties and against a righty struggling as much as Simon, he makes for a very appealing play.
