After posting an impressive 3.69 ERA last season, Mike Fiers has struggled to the tune of a 4.84 ERA this season. However, that number is infalted by one awful start in which he gave up seven runs.

He bounced back from that in his most recent outing, giving up just one run in six innings while also collecting seven strikeouts. That start marks seven out of his last nine with two or less runs allowed.

Remember how awful the Rays have been against righties? Well, Fiers draws a start against them this week, too! His other start is against the Rangers, who rank 13th in wOBA and 19th in wRC+ against righties. The clash with Texas won't be easy, but it shouldn't be enough to scare you away from Fiers with his second start coming against Tampa Bay.
