Chris Davis, 1B, Baltimore Orioles

FanDuel Price: $3,800

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

People continue to stack David Ortiz and the Red Sox and continue to make money. With Boston once again projected to lead the slate in scoring, Ortiz will likely continue to be the chalk. Chris Davis and the Orioles have a much more modest projected run total, so he is likely going to see lower ownership than he should.

Why You Should Use Him:

Davis has cooled off a bit recently but looks to get right tonight against the struggling Collin McHugh. McHugh has seen some improvement over his last few starts, but his season ERA and WHIP still sit at 5.13 and 1.58. He's also given up at least one home run in four of his past five starts, which bodes well for the powerful first baseman.

McHugh, a right-hander, has allowed more homers to lefties, while striking them out less and walking them more than righties during his career.

Crush Davis, a lefty, has elevated his wOBA, ISO, and slugging percentage each by at 50 to 80 points, while also posting an obscene career 38.9 percent hard-hit rate against righties. That number has been even better recently -- Davis put up a disgusting 44.7 percent hard-hit rate and 44.3 percent fly-ball rate against righties last season. 37 of his league-leading 47 dingers came against righties. Those 37 bombs would have ranked as the 12th-most in the league on their own. It's safe to say that Crush has lived up to his nickname -- especially against right-handed pitching.
