Travis Wood gets two starts this week, but the one to focus your streaming attention on is his Saturday matchup against the lowly Brewers offense. Milwaukee is only hitting .229 at home, and an MLB-worst .183 against left-handed pitching. The Brew Crew have also scored just nine runs against southpaws –- tied for worst in baseball -– and are worst by a country mile in the aforementioned batting average category, as well as on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS, .452). The next closest team in lefty OPS futility, the Oakland A’s at .530, are 78 points ahead of Milwaukee. The MLB average for OPS versus southpaws is .707, 255 points better than the Brewers. That’s about as eye-opening as it gets.
