3 MLB FanDuel Studs to Target on 9/20/18

The Washington Nationals' 4.90 implied total is Thursday's second-highest as they take on southpaw Jason Vargas and the Mets.

Vargas is coming off one of the worst seasons of his career, having posted a 4.86 SIERA in 2017, and his 4.48 clip this year isn't much better. He's also allowing the second-most hard contact of his career (35.4%) and forcing his third-lowest soft-hit rate (15.4%) while giving up a 38.6% fly-ball rate.

Bryce Harper isn't quite producing at the lofty levels he did in 2017, but his .378 wOBA and .254 ISO are still solid marks, especially while both his 42.1% hard-hit and 11.4% soft-hit rate are the best marks of his career.

His bat has been especially hot recently, with a .447 wOBA and .280 ISO over 78 plate appearances in September, and Vargas isn't much of a threat to slow that roll.
