Chris Davis, 1B, Baltimore Orioles

FanDuel Price: $2,100

I know, avert your eyes.

No, Chris Davis hasn't done much to earn our trust over the last few weeks, let alone this season, but he's still making a lot of hard contact, and the matchup is right against Aaron Sanchez.

Sanchez may be coming off an encouraging start against the Boston Red Sox, but it's otherwise been a forgettable year for him, with just a 5.00 SIERA, 18.7% strikeout rate, and 12.1% walk rate. Against left-handed hitters, he's allowed a 5.47 FIP and .354 xwOBA, and his high ground-ball rate isn't as much of a concern for a fly-ball hitter like Davis.

As we know, Davis is having his own forgettable season, but he's still managed a 39.6% hard-hit rate and 38.6% fly-ball rate since June 22, after he sat out 10 days to work on his swing. Obviously, the results have still remained modest at best, but 12 of his 16 home runs have come since then, and those batted ball numbers are right around his career marks. He held a .250 ISO against righties as recently as last season, and at barely above the minimum, there's merit in taking a flyer in tournaments.
