Michael Conforto, OF, New York Mets

FanDuel Price: $3,600

As of this writing, the New York Mets have a middling 3.97 implied total, and that's not going to move the needle when we have 15 games to choose from on Friday night.

But Vegas might be underselling the Mets, who are seeing a nice park factor boost at Fenway Park, and will face right-hander William Cuevas, a new addition following a late scratch for original starter Hector Velazquez. Cuevas doesn't figure to pose a big threat to the Mets, as he only has 12 2/3 innings of big league experience, and posted a modest 4.13 FIP and 21.6% strikeout rate in Triple-A this year. It wouldn't be surprising to see the Mets' implied total rise as we get closer to game time.

While Jay Bruce ($2,700) may see some ownership because of his cheap price tag, it's unlikely this offense as a whole gets much attention. That gives us a nice opportunity to roster Michael Conforto, who has already slugged six home runs this month, and could be poised to finish the year strong.

Overall, it's been a disappointing season for Conforto, but since the All-Star break, he's posted a 39.6% hard-hit rate, .364 wOBA, and .255 ISO, which is more reminiscent of the hitter we saw last year. We've seen what the ceiling can look like for Conforto, and this looks like a good spot to jump on board.
