Patrick Corbin, P, Arizona Diamondbacks

FanDuel Price: $9,100

With names like Aaron Nola, Luis Severino, and Stephen Strasburg topping the pitcher salaries tonight, one would think this is a pitching-rich slate under normal circumstances.

But Severino hasn't been particularly trustworthy over the second half of the season, and Strasburg isn't showing the same velocity since coming off the DL. On the other hand, Nola has performed very well lately, so he should be the chalk, but a matchup against the Washington Nationals won't necessarily result in a ceiling performance. This might be a good opportunity to try a low-owned option in tournaments.

One such candidate is Patrick Corbin, who figures to get little attention because he's at Coors Field. But Corbin has an elite 2.86 SIERA and 31.3% strikeout rate, which bests anyone else on the slate, and despite giving up a concerning amount of hard contact (42.4%), he's only allowing a 28.2% fly-ball rate, which might help him avoid trouble in Coors.

Rostering a Coors pitcher is always a risky proposition, but German Marquez pitched brilliantly there at low ownership on Monday, so it can certainly work to your benefit. Corbin is also cheaper than the aforementioned trio, which will give you more stacking options on offense.
