In addition to being the day's biggest favorites, the Yanks have the highest implied total, at 5.62 runs. That comes in a terrific matchup against Tigers' southpaw Francisco Liriano.

Liriano has never been the most consistent pitcher, but the last couple seasons have been especially bad for him. He set a career-worst clip with a 5.09 SIERA in 2017, and he is on pace to do it again, with a 5.33 SIERA in 2018. His 17.9% strikeout rate is a career-low mark, while his 13.4% walk rate is the worst of his career.

Right-handed bats have mashed him for a .380 wOBA while he's put up a 5.38 xFIP in the split.

Giancarlo Stanton has cooled off recently, but he's still sporting a strong .391 wOBA and .294 ISO in August. He has also put up huge numbers in his 144 plate appearances against southpaws this year, turning an absurd 59.8% hard-hit rate into a .440 wOBA and .333 ISO.
