The pitching matchup isn't quite as good as it was Monday, but the Toronto Blue Jays' offense is still in a great spot tonight as they are on the road against Baltimore Orioles southpaw Josh Rogers.

Rogers will be making the first Major League start of his career, which is usually an appealing factor for opposing bats. On the surface, Rogers has put up some good Minor League numbers (2.08 ERA in five games since being traded), but his peripherals are quite weak. He posted a 17.7% strikeout rate in 19 games before the trade, and that has since fallen to a lowly 14.4% since he was dealt. He also struggled to the tune of a 4.16 xFIP pre-trade and a 4.26 since, while 2017 saw him post a 4.19 xFIP in seven Double-A starts.

Randal Grichuk hasn't been overly consistent this year, with a .322 wOBA, but his 24.1% strikeout rate isn't as worrying as it usually is thanks to Rogers' poor strikeout numbers. Grichuk's power also more than makes up for his low floor, with a .232 ISO on a 32.9% hard-hit rate and 44.4% fly-ball rate this year.
