Derek Dietrich has enjoyed a solid season in 2018 with 15 home runs, but he has not performed well against same-sided arms, which he will face tonight in lefty Sean Newcomb.

On the year, Newcomb has limited lefties to a .181 batting average, including a 26.5% strikeout rate. Those tough marks stand out even further when you peep Dietrich's .284 wOBA and 32.6% strikeout rate in this same split.

Dietrich's power can be a tantalizing option, but he's best to shy away from tonight.
