Jon Lester is limping to the finish line of the 2018 season, and with a challenging matchup against the Pittsburgh Pirates, he's a pitcher to avoid tonight.

In the lefty's last seven starts, he has recorded only one win and owns a 7.68 FIP and 16.2% strikeout rate. That's a good proxy for his 2018 season, as he currently sports season-long marks of an 18.4% strikeout rate, which would be his lowest since his rookie year, and 9.1% walk rate, his highest since 2011.

Also, he'll be attacking a Pirates squad that has the sixth-lowest strikeout rate (20.3%), so Lester is a guy to steer clear of.
