Kendrys Morales, 1B, Toronto Blue Jays

Price: $2,500

numberFire's projections have Kendrys Morales as the top point-per-value play among today's hitters. And there's good reason for it.

The Toronto Blue Jays' 4.81 implied total is a top-five mark, and their offense is well-positioned against the Kansas City Royals and right-hander Jorge Lopez. Lopez has played in 10 games in 2018, posting an ugly 5.03 SIERA. He's up to 31 2/3 career innings in the Majors, with a 4.75 SIERA overall. With no Major League starts since 2015, Lopez won't likely go deep in this game, and that's no more encouraging for KC. Looking just at active rosters, their relievers have the second-worst xFIP in the Majors.

Morales isn't having an especially good season, with a .313 wOBA and .169 ISO, but his 42.4% hard-hit rate is on pace to be a career-high, and he's a nice cheap way to get dinger upside in this juicy matchup.
