Jake Bauers, 1B, Tampa Bay Rays

Jake Bauers got a mention here on Wednesday, and while he didn't have a particularly big night, sure enough, he was only owned in 4.7% of FanDuel lineups.

The figure ought to see a bump on a six-game slate, but we should still be able to get Bauers at lower ownership against David Hess. Although the game is being played in Tropicana Field, Hess has posted some rather poor numbers this season, including a 5.48 SIERA, 14.1% strikeout rate, and 8.7% walk rate.

Given the size of the slate, the Tampa Bay Rays may actually see more traffic than usual because of how cheap they are, but as the lone higher-priced bat, Bauers should still receive less attention. The top prospect has quickly lived up to his pedigree, producing a 44.2% hard-hit rate, .358 wOBA, and .242 ISO through 230 plate appearances. Against such a weak opponent, stacking the Rays isn't out of the question, and Bauers definitely deserves to be included.
