3 Under-the-Radar MLB FanDuel Plays for 7/31/18

It's never fun to roster hitters from the Detroit Tigers, but we have a great opportunity to get some cheap bats in a terrific matchup tonight against the very hittable Homer Bailey.

Bailey has really taken it to another level of terrible this year, as he currently owns a 6.29 ERA through 68.2 innings for the Cincinnati Reds. Surprisingly, he's been worse against right-handed hitters than he has against lefties. His hard-hit rate is a staggering 51.2% versus righties, compared to 33.6% for lefties, and his opponent average, slugging and wOBA are all worse against righties.

This all lines up well for Nick Castellanos -- and his 49.3% hard-hit rate against righties -- to have himself a nice night at the dish. Castellanos is known for crushing lefties, but the right-on-right nature of this matchup will leave him under-the-radar despite the favorable conditions. The Tigers are going to put up some runs, and Castellanos is great way to get exposure to the onslaught that seems inevitable.
