Yoan Moncada, 2B, Chicago White Sox

Acquired in the trade that sent Chris Sale to the Boston Red Sox, Yoan Moncada has been a big part of the Chicago White Sox' rebuilding project. At just 23 years old, he's had a strong season, flashing both power and speed by posting double-digit home runs and steals.
Even as a switch-hitter, however, Moncada has exhibited severe platoon splits. Specifically, he has been rather dreadful against southpaws this year. His 47 wRC+ against left-handed pitching is quite poor, and his 33.7% strikeout rate and 27.8% fly-ball rate against southpaws explain why his wRC+ is so low from the right side.
On Wednesday, Moncada will be facing left-hander Tyler Skaggs, who has been tremendous this season. Skaggs has a 24.8% strikeout rate and 3.67 SIERA while holding opposing batters to a 31.9% fly-ball rate. Moncada isn't worth rostering on tonight's short slate.
