Nick Castellanos, OF, Detroit Tigers

The Royals' opponent, the Detroit Tigers, is also a team we tend to gloss over on large slates, but they can't be overlooked against Heath Fillmyer. It's hard to gauge much from Fillmyer's 15 2/3 innings, but early returns show a poor 5.52 SIERA, 10.6% strikeout rate, and 12.1% walk rate. Throw in Fillmyer's lackluster 5.75 ERA over 13 Triple-A starts, and this doesn't look like a pitcher who is ready for the big league level.

Meanwhile, Nick Castellanos continues to be a hard-hitting machine, producing a 49.0% hard-hit rate, .371 wOBA, and .209 ISO this season. The Tigers are a tough team to trust in a stack, but at the very least, an affordable Castellanos can take advantage of the pristine spot.
