Leadoff man Dustin Fowler has shown some nice pop in the leadoff spot for the Oakland Athletics, ripping 6 home runs with a 43.7% hard-hit rate and 40.3% fly-ball rate since being called up to the majors. However, he could be in for a tough night against Justin Verlander.

Verlander has been nasty this season, especially against left-handed bats. Over 220 total batters faced, the right-hander has limited lefties to a .246 wOBA, 34.6% strikeout rate, and 25.8% hard-hit rate.

With one of the lowest implied team totals on the day (3.07) and in a challenging spot, Fowler is one to stay away from.
