In and out of the lineup in 2018 with a few different injuries, Adam Eaton has come back strong as a table setter for the Washington Nationals. He's been especially good against right-handed pitching, posting a .406 wOBA and 48.9% hard-hit rate with the platoon advantage.
But over his career, he's struggled against lefties, posting a .067 ISO, .315 wOBA, and 17.7% fly-ball rate. Tonight, he will face Tampa Bay Rays starter Blake Snell, and Snell owns left-handed hitters, eviscerating them for a .171 wOBA, 31.7% strikeout rate, and 4.9% walk rate in 2018.
In truth, Eaton may not be in the lineup tonight, but if he is, you should look elsewhere to fill your outfield.
