3 MLB FanDuel Studs to Target on 6/15/18

The Yankees' 5.17 implied total doesn't quite stack up with that of the Rockies, but it's still a very promising mark as they take on the Tampa Bay Rays and righty Nathan Eovaldi.

Eovaldi has a solid 3.89 SIERA to open the season, but that is through a tiny three-start sample. He's coming off a 2016 campaign that saw him post a 4.36 SIERA, which isn't far from his 4.25 career-average.

We've already got some indicators that Eovaldi's production may come down as well. His 19.0% strikeout rate is on pace to be a career-high, but his 7.4% swinging-strike rate (a statistic that stabilizes more quickly) is on pace to be a career-low at 7.4%. The batting average on balls in play (BABIP) he is allowing also sits at only .119. BABIP is heavily prone to variance, and when you consider his .306 career-average, or the .275 he allowed last year, you can expect that mark to go up moving forward.

Aaron Judge is a guy who is more than capable of helping Eovaldi's numbers move towards where they were in 2017. He has absolutely crushed right-handed pitching this season, turning a 47.0% hard-hit rate and 38.5% fly-ball rate into a .420 wOBA and .320 ISO.
