Miguel Cabrera, 1B, Detroit Tigers

Unfortunately, the monster Miguel Cabrera seasons, seem to be behind us. After popping an absurd 20-plus homers for 11 straight seasons, and a crazy 2016 where he rocked a .399 wOBA and 38 home runs, 2018 has hit the skids. Over his first 155 plate appearances, Cabrera has posted a strong .360 wOBA mark but only 3 homers to date.

Tonight, it may not be so great in a righty-righty matchup with Jake Odorizzi. Going back to the start of last year, over 535 plate appearances in this split, Cabrera has posted a paltry .307 wOBA and 30.1% fly-ball rate.

Cabrera has been doing work against southpaws, but with a righty on the hill, we may want to steer clear of Miggy and look elsewhere this evening.
