Salvador Perez, C, Kansas City Royals

Salvador Perez has certainly flashed some power over the last month, sending six balls over the fence to compile a decent .209 isolated slugging percentage. Even so, he's been one of the unluckiest hitters in the majors over that span, with a 48.4% hard-contact rate offset by a super low .184 batting average on balls in play (BABIP), resulting in a lackluster .200/.261/.409 slash line over his last 119 plate appearances.

Look for the Kansas City Royals' backstop to slug his way back to respectability this week against Cincinnati Reds no-namers Sal Romano and Tyler Mahle, and with his salary hovering in the low $3,000s, he makes for a sneaky contrarian play against those tough Houston Astros arms over the weekend.
