J.D. Martinez, OF, Boston Red Sox

Price: $4,700

At this point, it's harder to find a slate where J.D. Martinez isn't a top play than one where he is.

Martinez sits alone in first place in MLB in both home runs (20) and RBI (52) this season while his .430 wOBA and .341 isolated slugging (ISO) both rank third among qualifying hitters. He has been absolutely crushing baseballs, too, with a 53.0% hard-hit and 6.0% soft-hit rate. He ranks second in average exit velocity among the 345 hitters that have notched at least 50 batted balls on the year.

He brings that into a great matchup tonight with the Boston Red Sox boasting the day's highest implied total (5.54) against Blaine Hardy and the Detroit Tigers. Hardy has had limited action in the Majors the past three years, throwing just 85 innings, most of which have come in relief. In that three-year stretch, he has an ugly 4.91 xFIP against right-handed hitters, and he's likely in for a rough night against Martinez.
