Ryan Braun, OF, Milwaukee Brewers

Price: $2,900

With Matz' struggles against righties and the Brewers' strong implied total, it shouldn't surprise you that we come back to Milwaukee for another right-handed bat.

Ryan Braun -- who is expected to come off the disabled list today -- has seen a big dip in production this year, but when you compare his .250 batting average on balls in play (BABIP) to his .292 BABIP last year or his .326 BABIP from 2016, we get a good indicator that variance is part of what is holding him back. His contact numbers this year aren't much worse than his career averages as he is sporting a 16.5% soft-hit rate and 33.0% hard-hit rate.

Braun has also still been hitting southpaws really well in 2018, boasting a 41.9% hard-hit rate and 12.9% soft-hit rate, which has translated to a .366 wOBA and .273 ISO. That's over a tiny sample of 40 plate appearances, but it is in line with the .358 wOBA and .253 ISO he tagged lefties for last campaign.

On a short slate, Braun is one of the better value sticks out there.
