Sadly, Felix Hernandez is no longer the ace he once was, and he's had a tough time with lefties over the past couple seasons. Dating back to the beginning of 2016, he's allowed a .340 wOBA to left-handed batters with a 18.0% strikeout rate and 9.9% walk rate.
Matt Olson only has three dingers so far in 2018, but he owns a 50.0% hard-hit rate and 97.4 mile-per-hour average exit velocity on line drives and fly balls, so the long balls should come. He showed impressive power in 2017, and for his young career he owns a .396 wOBA and .323 ISO over 263 plate appearances against righties.
The Oakland Athletics are playing in Seattle, which isn't the most ideal venue for home runs, but given the price and power potential, Olson makes for a fine way to round out a tournament lineup.
