However, his matchup against the New York Mets is a tough one for opposing right-handed pitchers.

The Mets are 4th in team wOBA and wRC+ against right-handed pitching. A large part of this is due to their extraordinary plate discipline -- the Mets rank 3rd in team walk to strikeout ratio. In fact, they lead the majors in walk rate against right-handers. Allowing free base-runners with a high number of walks can be a death sentence for pitchers.
