Anthony Rizzo, 1B, Chicago Cubs

With an implied team total of 4.92 runs, the Chicago Cubs should be a popular team against young left-hander Caleb Smith this evening.

The natural reaction will be to target right-handers against Smith, which is obviously the right idea. However, don't let that eliminate lefty Anthony Rizzo from consideration. We don't typically like to roll with a lefty-versus-lefty matchup, but Rizzo has strong numbers against pitchers from either side. Dating back to 2015, he has a .372 wOBA and .209 ISO against left-handers.

And keep in mind that, if you're stacking the Cubs, you're hoping for Smith to get run out of the game early, which would leave Rizzo to feast against the predominately right-handed Miami Marlins bullpen.
